The Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards 2010 were not only a hit because Fiona and Mike were emceeing…
Chef of the year Frank Pabst of Blue Water Cafe (left) spoke with us on camera and revealed one of his most popular dishes: Nutella on toast. The hazelnut spread loving patrons? His twin daughters!
Appetizers were in abundance, as were the food-loving, food-focused guests. It truly was a foodie’s dream event. Passionate, cuisine-centered conversations were enjoyed by all, as were the Nimby Burgers that were doled out at the ceremony’s close. Head to Kits Beach (corner of Cornwall and Yew) to test them out (they’re $2.99…!?)
Joey Bentall One threw an equally amazing after-party. The appetizers were neverending. Here are my two favs:
Chinese steamed bun with slow-cooked braised beef shortrib and five-spice soy sauce garnished with scallion salad
